Emerging Technologies

The emerging technology of light-field photography will be used in the future for letting you adjust the focus of a picture after capturing one. It surprised me that such a tiny camera can record position, color, and intensity of light that comes through the lens. It also records the angle at which rays of light arrive. Light-field photography would improve the focus of our cameras. It would also improve the lens and what the lens records. Looking at the list from 2009, there is paper diagnostics that was considered an emerging technology back then. You would take the paper, and dip the corner in a sample of urine or blood. The sample moves through the testing wells and whatever reaction it is to the paper turns it a different color. The colors that would show up are blue, red, yellow, or green. They tell you what you have been diagnosed with. They also show up in different patterns.
